1694

Zach will be returning from his trip soon. Daniel left for college. Kaylynn is starting to worry about her age.

1693

William sure is getting big. Michele still won't speak to me. I don't think that I have much more time left in this world and would like to patch things up before I go. Unfortunately it seems the only way Michele is interested in burying a hatchet is if it's in my skull. Sweet Kaylynn tells me that it is Michele's problem and not to let it get to me. But I must have done something wrong while raising her for her to be so haughty. Zach graduated from college but decided to take some fancy schmancy trip to the far east before returning home.

1690

The head of all the founding families appeared for William's birth. What a wonderful surprise. It was nice to see my old friends again, as well as make some new ones. I am the father of the 100th resident. Wow, that will go down in the history books.

Daniel also celebrated his birthday. He seemed a little resentful, though I'm not sure why. Some of the most esteemed citizens of Prosperville were on hand for an impromptu birthday party. Well, ok, so we were actually gathered around William's crib when Daniel grew up, but still ...

1689

Zach is off for La Fiesta Tech. You'd think I would be used to this by now, but it's always hard to watch your children leave.

1688

Wow, I didn't think I still had it in me, but the old plumbing still works just fine! Kaylynn is pregnant again.

1686

Zach becomes a teen and is suddenly interested in learning.

1683

I'm finally showing my age. I just hope that Kaylynn doesn't notice it. She is still so young and pretty. I suppose it shouldn't bother me. Everyone has aged significantly this year, even my brother Roger, and my good friend Stone. Those two don't seem to let it bother them, still more popular with the ladies than I ever was in my youth.

Daniel is becoming a fine, strapping, young lad. Seems like just this morning he was still a toddler, where does the time go?

Michele finally had a baby, and twin girls at that. I knew the odds of twins were high for them, what with Roger and I, but I never expected them both to have them. Odd though, I never have, maybe it skips a generation? Hopefully Michele will mellow now that she's not so stressed to have a baby.

1678

My Darling gave me another boy. We named him Daniel. He's just as cute as can be.

WOOHOO!! My first grandchild .... grandchildren! Eve had twins! Gene and Alec. Maybe Michele is right. It IS a bit strange that I have a son only a few months older than my grandbabies.

1674

I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, but I still can't believe dad is gone. Those last 3-4 days, he hardly left his room. He barely ate. Kaylynn said she'd seen tears in his eyes a few times, but he wouldn't talk to her about it. She also noted that his late night phone calls also stopped about the same time, and suspects he may have broken up with his girlfriend. Michele paid her respects to dad atleast, but wouldn't speak to me at all. She even seemed to shun Evie, they used to be so close.

1673

My darling Kaylynn gave me a son. We named him Zach and he is just an adorable baby. I'm often going to the crib and picking him up for no apparent reason. Michele called just long enough to tell me that she thinks it's 'gross' that I'm having babies as she and Eve are marrying. Eve told me that Michele and Jonathon haven't been having much luck with starting their family and that Michele's attitude is just sour grapes. And last, but not least ... (drum roll please) ..Evie got married. Remington seems like a decent chap. Kaylynn said he worked for the same agency she did and has a good reputation. Objects never went missing and no dark haired babies born to blonde couples in any of the houses he worked in. Kaylynn says I'd be amazed how often that actually happens.

1671

Eve graduated but isn't coming back home. She shyly admitted that she's dating the man who cleaned their dorm. No wonder she didn't fuss about me and Kaylynn. My little Evie, looks exactly like her mother, acts exactly like her father. Guess it could be worse. She could look like me (including the mustache).

1669

Michele eloped. Either that or she still isn't speaking to me. Eve told me about Michele marrying Jonathon. She was vague if there was an actual ceremony or not. Who knows, we didn't have one, maybe she didn't either. Eve is halfway through college, can't wait for her to come back home.

1668

Michele made it through college at last. I think she graduated with honors, Lord, but my memory isn't what it used to be. Michele wasn't too thrilled when I told her that Kaylynn and I were engaged and planning to marry before the end of the year. She actually referred to my future wife as 'the help'. KIDS!

1667

Eve heads to college and it's just dad and I here now. Thought only women were supposed to get empty nest syndrome. I've been thinking more and more of remarrying. Heck, I think even dad has a girlfriend. I hear him on the phone all hours of the night, giggling like a school girl. I never was much into the whole bar scene, I don't even know where I'd go to meet someone. Hmm, that maid is pretty easy on the eyes.

1664

My little Evie has hit puberty. I wish her mom were here to see her (and answer those embarrassing questions about girl stuff). I should have Michele or her aunt Brenda talk to her. Oh, I see now I never wrote about the miracle! Roger actually got married! Can you believe that? Makes me think that maybe I'm not too old to marry. I never did have my son ...

1661

Lord give me strength. Roger is fuming, poor Eve is in tears. Apparently dad was in the downstairs bathroom while I was in the shower. Eve decided she'd go use Roger's bathroom. She walked in on him, uh, getting friendly with his current flavor of the week. Roger decided it's time for him to get his own place.

1658

Michele called home. We had a nice long chat, first time in as long as I can remember. She's still as impetuous as ever. Hasn't even finished college yet and already engaged to a boy she met in her dorm.

1657

Roger and I both got huge bonuses at work. We built an apartment over the garage for Roger to have his own space as he calls it. I moved dad into my room. Eve is getting so big. She looks more like her mother every day.

1655

Michele just couldn't leave soon enough for college. She was always in such a rush to grow up, even as a child. Roger isn't thrilled with the cramped living quarters. As if I enjoy sharing a room with him, it's almost like we are still kids and going nowhere in life. Poor dad shares a room with Eve. He complains that she wakes him up at all hours jumping on her bed.
