| Tristan had an emotional childhood. His father died when he was small, and his mother ran off with another man shortly thereafter. Tristan, while not very close to his step-brother, appreciates that Tyron tried to raise him as one of his own. Due to the early childhood trauma of basically losing both parents, Tristan yearns for a large family that he can call his own.

She considers herself too intelligent to believe in love at first site, but does not rule out fate or karma. She and Tristan had been sweethearts through high school, college and finally marriage.
