I felt bad about leaving dad all alone. He practically pushed me out of the house though, saying that I would not pass up the opportunity that college would give me. I'm glad he did though, there are lots of nice kids from the neighborhood in my dorm. I try to call home often, to keep dad from feeling too left out and alone. | ||

Talk about a crappy birthday for dad. I always thought he was more in love with being in a "challenge family" - thingy, that he was always going on and on about. But he was pretty broken up about mom's death, guess he did love her too. | ||
