Frankie married a beautiful young lady that lived in his dorm. She seems very sweet, and Norma has taken to her instantly. I think maybe Norma sees Arianna as her only chance to have a daughter, though she hasn't said that in so many words.
We're also very proud of Dora, who reached the top of her pet career.

Poor Cymoril passed away while we were at work. I came home to find his urn in the basement. We buried him in the back yard by the pond. He used to love to lie there in the sun and watch the fish. Frankie got engaged between graduation and even stepping foot off campus. We haven't met his fiancee yet, but true to his word, he came back home after college. Jackie is moving right next door! It's just too good to be true. Norma is already buying furniture and stuff for him.
1686
Boots became my 4th pet to reach the top of his career. Now if only Dora and Snowball could refrain from getting fired and/or demoted.
1684
Norma may not agree, but I think she is just as beautiful as the day I married her. I, on the other hand, turned into an ugly old fart and quickly tore up the picture she took of me on my birthday.
1683
Back to an empty nest *sigh*. Frankie is so mature and assured me that he would return from college. Jackie ... not so much. I'm not sure if he just isn't sure what he plans to do after college yet, or didn't have the heart to tell me he's not coming back home. Norma says it's time to let them go and start their own family. I guess she's right, I'm just leery to let them off on their own after the mess and scandal that Kathleen managed to create. The dogs are great company now that the kids are gone. Makes me glad that we have so many.

I saw Prof. Long passing by on his way to Kathleen's and stopped him. I really laid into him to do the right thing as far as Kathleen was concerned. The poor guy nearly broke down in tears. He desperately wants to marry her and raise his child, but she refuses to even discuss the subject. Good Lord, what is wrong with that girl!?! Richard and I had a long talk. He's a great guy and would make a wonderful husband for Kathleen. I told Richard that I would arrange everything and to meet me at Kathleen's. Leave it to Kathleen to be the first time in history where the shotgun in the shotgun wedding was necessary to get the BRIDE to the altar!

Cymoril is really showing his age, poor old guy is starting to slow down. The puppies, Dora and Boots, have finally matured enough to hold down a job though.
1680
The taller the boys get, the older I feel. But I guess that I AM getting old, Kathleen is a grown woman. Rumor has it, she is in the family way. I'll skin her alive before I let her think she's having a baby out of wedlock. Norma became a member of some hobby club, and Cyromil reached the top of his career.
1678
We're finally married! The place was beautiful, even better than the brochure. I took more pictures but there isn't room for them all here. The wedding arch is right on the beach, with pagodas for eating, and dancing, etc. We had a great vacation, we should do it more often!
1677
We head to the mountains for our first family vacation. All the other arrangements have been made too. I'm starting to get nervous!
1676
Muffin births two puppies, Dora and Boots.
1675
Snowball has grown up and we found him a job. Have I mentioned that Muffin and Cyromil are expecting a litter? Norma and I are planning to take the boys to the mountains when the airport reopens. I have a little surprise in store for her while we are there.
1672
Norma and the boys moved in! I told myself to just calm down, give Norma some time, and not jump the gun. But I was so happy I couldn't help myself, I proposed right away. We've agreed to wait a little while before actually getting married. Let the rumors die down about her break up with Jackie first. It's so great to see the boys every day. I know they had just lived next door, but with school and work, and Norma's work, and Jackie's fits .... well visitation was limited to say the least.
I think I've gotten so caught up in my own life that I haven't mentioned Hannah. I found out she was still alive and well by way of a wedding invitation of all things. I had hoped she would settle down and get married someday, but doubted it would ever be so soon. Knowing Hannah, there's more to it than meets the eye though because she married an old guy! I mean, he seems nice enough, and there's no doubt that he loves her, but dang, he's old enough to be MY father.

It's been way too quiet here. I asked Norma to bring the boys over, just so that I could hear the sound of children's laughter filling my house again, even if for only a couple of hours. Jacqueline came over with her, seems that things have been pretty tense between those two. I feel awful for being part of such a drama, I knew Norma was involved, but I can't help how I feel about her. I should be the bigger man and walk away, but I could never just walk away from my sons. I could tell right away that Norma was in a foul mood. I think Jacqueline's distrust and feeling the need to play chaperone was the straw that broke the camel's back. I can only guess at Norma's motives for kissing me right then and there. All I know is that it got ugly real quick. One was poking, the other shoving. I finally asked Jacqueline to leave, the fighting was upsetting the boys. Norma gave me a quick kiss goodbye and said she'd better go too, but promised to call me later.

I came home from work to find Hannah making out with some old guy. I swear it is getting to the point that I'm afraid to go to work any more. Kathleen spoke up and said Matthew was actually a friend of hers that came over to see her off to college. College?? No way could my sweet little angel be old enough for college. She assured me that she would always be my angel but that she had only been waiting for me to come home before she left.
I was just exhausted, both physically and emptionally after having to say goodbye to Kathleen. Matthew was still at the house, but I had no energy to deal with Hannah. Kathleen was adament that SHE had called and invited Matthew over, so technically Hannah hadn't overstepped her grounding. I guess I should have spoken to Hannah before going to bed. I woke up around 10pm to find Hannah gone. She took all of her clothes, and a really expensive vase, with her. The cops told me that there's nothing I can do. She's an adult now and free to move out. Despite our differences, I still worry about her. I just hope she's ok. House sure is empty now, I wish Norma and the boys were here.

Hannah has gone too far this time. She threw herself a birthday party after I left for work. I arrived home to find her making out with some guy on the porch, and the cops pulling up to break the party up. I grounded her for a week. She can only leave to go to work, no phone or computer either. I don't care if she's an adult now, she certainly isn't acting like one. I love my sister to death, but some days I can't wait for her to move out. On the other hand, I'm afraid of what trouble she'll get into once she is on her own.
1667
The house is basically done. There's still some windows to add and some painting to do, and plumbing to put in, but it is basically done.
Michael had invited us over to see the boys. Their still all pink and cute. I'm glad he doesn't hold a grudge against me. I think he'd mainly wanted to see Hanaah as I caught them kissing on the porch later. But atleast he'd invited us all over.
1665
I was walking past Norma's house, I tend to do that a lot. I am NOT stalking. I just want to be near her. Besides, it's not like I can get to the business district without walking past her house, and I was headed to the, uh, corner store because we were desperately out of, uh, shoe polish! Yeah, that's it. Anyways, Norma was outside playing with her new puppy. Imagine my surprise to see her condition! I got to feel my baby kick.
I begged her to leave Jacqueline and marry me. She shook her head slowly, and sadly. Said that as much as she wants to marry me, she could never hurt Jackie by leaving her. Having an affair was hurtful enough, but to leave her for a man would tear Jackie's heart apart.
1662
Kathleen had an, uh, interesting party for her teen bithday. I don't know what came over me. Karen and the kids were all doing the smustle. Norma and I didn't want to get all hot and sweaty, so we were just dancing together. Instead we ended up getting hot and bothered. Next thing I knew we were kissing. True, Cora has been gone a while now but I should have controlled my urges. Norma isn't exactly available.
I met with Norma the next day at Brighton Beach. My intentions were to apologize. To tell her that the kiss we shared, though completely enjoyable, had been wrong. She told me how she wasn't happy in her relationship with Jacqueline. She cried on my shoulder for hours, which led to me giving her a comforting hug. Kissing, making out and woohoo eventually followed.
1660
I caught Hannah smooching with the paperboy. I was hoping that taking a picture would embarrass them enough to break it up. But they just gave me dirty looks and went right on as though I wasn't even there. *sigh* My little sister is growing up fast, and I'm clueless as to how to reign her in.

Construction of the new house is well under way. Still need to buy some paint and find the time to finish the walls, etc. Such a pain in the butt. Kathleen has been depressed lately. She feels guilty because she doesn't really remember Cora anymore. She was so young when she died. I bought her a dog, not that we could really afford it. But well worth the money to see Kathleen perk right up. She had a platinum glow around her just from getting a pet. To be young again and have something so simple mean so much.
